Privacy Policy
Updated on Wednesday, 28th August 2025.
Thank you for trusting Suivi. We value privacy seriously and design product experiences that respect your personal information while enabling reliable, secure parcel delivery. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, where we store it, and the choices available to you. We strive to write in plain language with the clarity of enterprise-grade practices — and the empathy of a trusted partner.
1. Scope & Principles
1.1. Who this covers. This policy applies to individuals who use Suivi’s products and services (“you” or “user”) — including senders, riders, and visitors to our websites and mobile apps. It covers data we collect when you sign up, request or perform deliveries, communicate through the app, use tracking, or interact with our marketing and support channels.
1.2. Our privacy commitments. We operate on four core principles:
- Purpose limitation: We collect only what’s necessary for delivering the service.
- Transparency: We explain, in plain terms, how data flows through our system.
- Control: You have meaningful choices about your data.
- Security: We protect data with reasonable technical and organizational safeguards.
2. Information We Collect
2.1. Information you provide directly. When you create or update an account or use app features we collect: name, email address, phone numbers, password (securely hashed), profile photo, vehicle details (for riders), vehicle registration, and any verification documents you upload (ID, driver documents). For deliveries we also collect payment details when you add a payment method (we store only what is necessary: payment processor may store full card info).
2.2. Information generated by your use of the service. We collect data about your activity in the app: pickup and delivery addresses, timestamps (pickup time, delivery time), tracking numbers, delivery instructions, messages and call logs within the app (metadata and content if you send messages), GPS location while the app is in use (to enable routing and live tracking), and system logs (errors, device model, OS, app version).
2.3. Automatic & third-party data. We use cookies, device identifiers, analytics providers, mapping SDKs, and optionally social sign-in (e.g., Google). These may supply information such as ad clicks, app authentication details, and profile data (name, email) depending on permission. We do not ingest any third-party data beyond what you authorize.
2.4. Sensitive data & special cases. We do not require or ask for sensitive personal data (e.g., health, race, political opinions). If any user voluntarily uploads sensitive information (e.g., to a message), we will handle it according to the policy and promptly agree to remove it. For identity verification we may collect ID documents — these are processed securely and retained only as needed for verification and to meet legal obligations.
3. How We Use & Share Information
3.1. Core uses. We use personal data to:
- Provide, operate, and improve deliveries (matching riders to senders, routing, proof of delivery).
- Enable communication between riders and senders (in-app chat and calls).
- Process payments, refunds, and promotions.
- Monitor performance and provide insights (earnings, ratings, pickup acceptance).
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and safety incidents.
- Send transactional messages (receipts, status updates) and optional service-related notifications.
3.2. Sharing with service providers and partners. We share data with trusted third parties who perform services on our behalf: payment processors, mapping and routing providers, cloud hosting, analytics vendors, identity verification providers, and customer support platforms. These partners act under contract and may only use data to deliver services for Suivi.
3.3. Legal and safety disclosures. We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests (subpoenas, court orders), to protect rights and safety (investigation of fraud or threats), or to enforce our Terms of Service. We will endeavor to limit disclosures and notify users about legal requests unless prohibited.
3.4. Transfers & business events. If Suivi merges, is acquired, or sells assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We’ll notify affected users and require successor entities to honor this Privacy Policy.
4. Your Rights, Controls, Security & Retention
4.1. Your choices & controls:
- Access & correction: You may view and update your profile information from the app or request a copy by contacting privacy@suivi.com.
- Deletion: You can request account deletion; we will terminate your account and delete personal data except for information we must retain for legal, tax, or safety reasons.
- Data portability: Where applicable, you can request an export of the personal data you provided (in structured, machine-readable format).
- Location & permissions: You control location-sharing in your device settings and can revoke or grant permissions at any time; providing location may limit functionality (e.g., live tracking).
- Marketing communications: You may opt out of promotional emails or messages via settings or unsubscribe links; transactional and safety messages will still be sent if necessary for service delivery.
4.2. Security practices. We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect data. Encryption in transit, secure storage, access controls, regular audits. While no system is impenetrable, we employ industry-standard measures and continuously monitor for vulnerabilities. In the event of a security incident that affects personal data, we will notify users and regulators as required by law.
4.3. Retention policy. We keep data only as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Typical retention windows: account data and transaction logs for up to 7 years for accounting and regulatory reasons; delivery records and tracking for up to 2 years for operational and support needs. We will delete data sooner if you request erasure/deletion and it does not conflict with legal requirements.
4.4. Children’s privacy. Suivi is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn we have collected such information inadvertently, we will delete it.
5. Additional Operational Notes
5.1. Analytics, cookies & tracking. We use analytics and cookies to measure app performance and usage, optimize routing and match quality, and improve product features. You can manage cookie and tracking preferences in your device/browser settings where applicable.
5.2. Data residency & international transfer. Suivi may store and process data in the locations where our service providers operate. When transferring data internationally, we take contractual and technical measures to protect your information in accordance with applicable law.
5.3. Enforcement & complaints. We regularly review privacy controls and comply with applicable privacy law (where relevant) and industry best practices. If you have concerns about our practices, please contact us; we will investigate and respond in a timely manner.
